What is Wordreels?
WordReels is a daily word puzzle that swaps the usual letter grid for rows of spinning reels. Each day players scroll letters on those reels to spell a five-letter word, with the same puzzle shared by everyone worldwide. It also includes Practice Mode, Custom Reels, and an archive of past puzzles.
How to play Wordreels
Swipe or tap the arrows on each letter reel to scroll through available letters, lining them up at the center selection line to spell a word, then tap Check Word. In the Daily Challenge you have up to six attempts to find the 5-letter answer.
Tips & strategy
- Solve as fast as you can: every unused attempt adds 60 bonus points, so finishing in 1 attempt gives the best score.
- Bonus words pay 50 points each, but they consume one of your six attempts, so weigh whether chasing them is worth it.
- Use the Peek feature to preview every letter on a focused reel when you're stuck, and hide it again when you want a cleaner view.
- Warm up with Practice Mode at 4, 5, or 6 letters to sharpen your skills before the Daily Challenge.
- Play through the Puzzle Archive on off days to get more practice without risking your current streak.
Frequently asked questions
When does the daily puzzle reset?
A new daily puzzle drops at 00:00 UTC (8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific) every day, and the same 5-letter word is shared by all players worldwide.
Do I need to sign in to play?
No. You can play without an account and your progress on that device is kept, but signing in syncs your streak across devices and joins you to the global leaderboard.
What are coins used for?
Coins are earned by finding bonus words and can be spent on hints, which are available in Practice Mode and do not affect your daily streak.
Can I play old daily puzzles?
Yes. The Puzzle Archive lets you play past daily challenges, so you can catch up on puzzles you missed or retry old ones.
What is a Custom Reel?
Custom Reel mode lets you build your own letter dials with a target word and optional extra letters. You can then share the reel with friends through a link or code.
