What is Poopguessr?

PoopGuessr is a browser-based guessing game that challenges players to identify animals from photographs of their droppings. Each puzzle is built around one image of real animal scat, and the goal is to name the animal that left it.

How to play Poopguessr

You are shown a single photo of real animal droppings and have six guesses to name the animal. Enter a guess and use the feedback to narrow down the possibilities before your attempts run out.

Tips & strategy

• Start with size: larger droppings usually point to larger animals, though diet can change the shape.
• Look closely at texture and contents, like seeds, fur, or plant matter, to guess what the animal eats.
• If the photo shows any habitat or ground type, use that context to rule out certain animals.
• Use early guesses to test broad animal groups (deer, dog, bear, etc.) instead of jumping to a rare species.
• Keep track of how many guesses you've used; six attempts go by quickly.
