What is Perception?

Perception is a free daily game that tests your eye and intuition through five short challenges. Each round asks you to make a single best guess—matching a color, judging an angle, estimating a time span, or solving a visual puzzle—then shows you how close you came. The same five puzzles are given to everyone each day, resetting at midnight Central Time.

How to play Perception

Each day presents five distinct perception tasks, drawn from a rotating pool of types. You might be asked to hold a color in memory and pick it from a wheel, judge the vanishing point of a perspective drawing, or feel the length of a beat. Some challenges involve 3D rotation, splitting an area evenly, or tracing a remembered line. You make one guess per round, lock it in, and immediately see your answer beside the target, along with the exact error.

Tips & strategy

  • Every round is scored from 0 to 100 points, for a daily maximum of 500.
  • Each game has its own error allowance—the miss that earns zero points. Points decrease evenly as you use that allowance.
  • A smaller numeric error doesn't always mean a better score, because different games measure different things (degrees, years, wheel distance, percentages).
  • Practice mode lets you choose a specific skill or a fresh mix, and trivia practice uses past daily questions.

Frequently asked questions

How many points can I earn per day?

Each of the five daily rounds is worth up to 100 points, so the maximum daily score is 500.

What happens if my guess is off?

Your score depends on how far you are from the target relative to that game's error allowance. A perfect match earns 100 points; using half the allowance earns 50; reaching the limit earns 0.

Can I play older challenges?

The daily game changes at midnight Central Time, but practice mode offers past daily questions and skill-specific rounds.

Is there a time limit for each challenge?

Some challenges have a brief viewing period (like two seconds to look at a color, or three seconds to study a 3D shape), but the site doesn't specify a limit for making your guess.
