What is Fieldpost?
Fieldpost is a free daily logic puzzle based on the classic Star Battle rules. Each day everyone gets the same grid, and the goal is to place one star in every row, column, and colored region. Each puzzle has a single unique solution.

How to play Fieldpost
Tap a cell once to mark an ✕ and twice to place a star; a third tap clears it. You need one star in each row, column, and colored region, and no two stars may touch, even diagonally. On a keyboard, use arrow keys or WASD to move and Space or Enter to place.
Tips & strategy
- Use ✕ marks to track cells that can’t contain a star; this makes hidden constraints easier to see.
- When you place a star, immediately mark all surrounding cells as ✕, since stars can’t touch.
- Look for a row, column, or region that has only one viable cell left and place its star there.
- Focus on smaller regions first; they often reveal which cells are possible for that region’s star.
- Use the free Undo whenever you want to revisit a line of deduction without restarting.

Yes. The game is free to play on Barumba and includes virtual coins that have no cash value.
How often is a new puzzle released?
A new puzzle appears every day at midnight PT. Everyone in the daily challenge gets the same grid.
Is this the same as Star Battle?
It uses the classic one-star Star Battle rules, a puzzle type also called Two Not Touch.
Do I need to guess?
No. Each grid is checked to have exactly one solution, and it can be reached through logic alone.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
The daily leaderboard is ranked by solve time. If times tie, the player who finished first ranks higher. Sharing your result only shows your time and streak, never the grid or answer.
