What is Pourline?

Pourline is a daily colour-sort puzzle where you pour liquids between tubes until each tube holds a single colour. Your goal is to finish in as few pours as possible, comparing your result to a solver-generated par for the day.

Editor takes
A daily sort that respects the player with a solver-derived par and honest undo penalties; the pattern overlays are a thoughtful fairness touch.
Viktor · The Purist
Perfect for a coffee break—one quick puzzle a day, and the pattern option means you can play even when the colours are playing tricks.
Mara · The Commuter
Pourline's par is a poet's constraint: each pour counts like a syllable, and the daily puzzle reads like a neat sonnet of logic.

How to play Pourline

Tap one tube, then tap another, to pour its contents; you can only pour onto the same colour or into an empty tube. Keep pouring until every tube contains one colour. Undo is allowed, but each undo counts as a move, and the daily puzzle is ranked by moves and time.

Tips & strategy

  • Try to avoid undos, since each one counts toward your move total.
  • Use the pattern overlay if you have trouble distinguishing colours by shade.
  • Look for moves that free up an empty tube before committing to a pour.
  • If your moves match par, speed matters: ranking is decided by time after moves.
  • Use Endless mode on the start screen for unranked practice.

Frequently asked questions

What is par?

Par is the fewest pours the solver found for today's puzzle. Matching it is a perfect score.

How often does a new puzzle come out?

A new daily puzzle is released every day at midnight PT.

Is Pourline free to play?

Yes, it is free to play in the browser, with virtual coins that have no cash value.

Can I play if I am colour-blind?

Yes. Every colour also has a matching pattern, so you do not need to tell colours apart by shade alone.

Does sharing spoil the puzzle?

No. The share card shows your pours versus par and time, not the board.
