WordTwiq
What is WordTwiq?
WordTwiq is a daily word puzzle that asks you to find two five-letter words that differ by a single letter in the same position, such as SHORE and SCORE. You have seven shared guesses to uncover both words, with each guess providing clues for both. It's free to play in your browser with no sign-in required.
How to play WordTwiq
Each day, a new pair of five-letter words is hidden, with four letters in common and one letter changed in the same position. You make guesses that apply to both words simultaneously, and the game gives feedback for each. When you correctly identify one word, the four shared letters stay in place, helping you find the other.
Tips & strategy
- Start with a guess that uses common vowels and consonants to gather information for both words.
- Pay attention to which letters are shared and which position changes between the two words.
- When you find one word, use the locked shared letters to narrow down the second.
- Think of pairs that differ by a single letter in the same position, like R/T or N/G, to guide your guesses.
