A daily movies puzzle game.
Typecasted
What is Typecasted?
Typecasted turns the classic “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” parlor game into a daily movie trivia challenge. Each day brings two new puzzles built around the idea that any two actors can be connected through shared film appearances.
How to play Typecasted
In Endless mode, you start from a seed film and build a chain by linking film → actor → film, with no repeats allowed. Each correct guess resets a 20-second timer; when time runs out, your chain length is your score. The daily leaderboard shows how your chain compares to everyone else who played that day. Make the Cut gives you two films — a start and a destination — and asks you to connect them through shared cast members in five moves or fewer. There's no timer, so you can work through the connections at your own pace. After finishing, you can see the shortest possible path and a breakdown
Tips & strategy
- Both modes reset at midnight, so new starting films and challenges appear every day.
- No account is needed to play either mode, but creating one lets you track your streak, history, and leaderboard position.
- An archive of previous Make the Cut puzzles is available for extra practice.
