TikiTaka
What is TikiTaka?
TikiTaka is a daily logic puzzle with a football (soccer) theme, played on a tactics board. Rather than testing sports knowledge, it challenges players to solve a spatial routing problem where every pass must be planned in advance.

TikiTaka is the perfect coffee-break puzzle — five quick boards, no memory needed, and you can just undo your way out of a dead end.

The numbers are clean: every board is machine-checked, there's exactly one passing order that works, and the daily set is identical for everyone.

The real hook is the sequencing — once you've laid down a pass line it becomes a line you can't cross, like a sample that changes the whole vibe of the track.
How to play TikiTaka
Each puzzle presents a team, a wall of defenders, and a single ball. The objective is to find the one passing sequence that lets every teammate receive the ball exactly once—no player skipped, no player repeated—before the final player takes a clean shot into the net. Players drag the ball between teammates to build the sequence. The key constraint is that pass lines cannot cross defenders or any of your own previously drawn passes, meaning an obvious early move can block a necessary route later. The order of passes is the entire puzzle, and each board is machine-checked to ensure exactly one
Tips & strategy
- Work backwards from the goal, as the final shot is often the most constrained pass on the board.
- Prioritize players near the touchline early, since they typically have fewer safe passing options.
- Before committing to a pass, check whether the line you are about to draw will cut off a pass you still need later.
Frequently asked questions
Is there always a solution?
Yes. Every board is machine-checked before being served, so each puzzle has exactly one passing order that reaches every player and finishes.
What happens if I get stuck?
You can play the ball backwards to step the move back and try a different order. The game will indicate when you have reached a dead end.
Can I play previous days?
Yes. An archive holds all previous daily puzzles. Archived rounds are for practice only and do not affect your streak, stats, or the leaderboard.
Does everyone get the same puzzles?
Yes. The date determines the boards, so every player receives the same set of five moves on the same day, ensuring fair leaderboard comparisons.
