What is Lander?

Lander is a free daily browser game about piloting a spaceship down through a cave to a landing pad. A new cave is released every day at midnight New York time and is the same for all players. It runs in the browser on a phone or computer, with no ads and no account needed.

The bump-versus-crash threshold is a cleverly forgiving risk curve, but the real test is whether those medal gates demand skill or just stubborn repetition.

A fresh cave every morning with no ads or sign-up is the perfect coffee-break ritual—jump in, chase your ghost, and get back to your day.

The daily cave is like a new 7-inch drop at midnight, and beating that blue ghost is the B-side you keep flipping until you've got the whole run sampled in your head.

'Bump the rock and you bounce off' is the kind of crisp, tactile phrasing that makes a game read like a well-turned clue—simple words, precise meaning, and a hint of mischief.

How to play Lander

Each day you fly down the cave and try to land on the pad at the bottom as quickly as possible. The blue ship is a ghost to race against, and you can replay the day’s cave as often as you like. Gentle contact with rock bounces you off, while hard impacts send you back to the last gate with the clock still running.

Tips & strategy

  • Focus on a smooth, controlled descent; a successful run only ends when you touch down slowly and level.
  • Use the blue ghost ship as a pacing guide rather than going flat-out from the start.
  • Avoid hard impacts, since being sent back to the last gate usually costs more time than a cautious approach.
  • Replay the cave to improve your best time; only your best run of the day counts toward the daily board.
  • Check the medal thresholds if you want a target: bronze starts at 12% faster than the blue ship, and platinum requires 30% faster.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lander free to play?

Yes. Lander is free, has no ads, and does not require an account.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The game runs in your browser on a phone or computer, with nothing to install.

When does a new cave appear?

A new cave appears every day at midnight, New York time, and is the same for everyone.

What counts as my score?

Your best run of the day counts for the daily board, your week, and your rank. If you play a past cave, your best flight goes on that cave’s all-time board instead.

What happens if I hit the rock hard?

A hard impact sends your ship back to the last gate while the clock keeps running, so it is best to avoid crashing hard.
