Daydoku
What is Daydoku?
Daydoku is a daily puzzle that combines a calendar grid with polyomino placement. Each day, players arrange 10 polyominoes (3 tetrominoes and 7 pentominoes) on the grid so that only the cells corresponding to the current date remain uncovered.
How to play Daydoku
Drag and rotate the polyominoes to cover the calendar grid. The goal is to leave exactly the squares representing today's day, month, and weekday visible. The puzzle has multiple valid solutions each day.
Tips & strategy
- Start by placing the largest pentominoes first, as they restrict space the most.
- Consider all rotations and reflections of each polyomino before committing.
- Keep the area around the target date clear to ensure it remains uncovered.
- Use trial and error to explore different arrangements without fear of mistakes.
- Look for symmetrical patterns that may guide your placement.
