What is Who farted??

Who Farted? is a daily logic puzzle with a deliberately silly premise: an elevator is stuck between floors, someone has passed gas, and every passenger denies it. Each person makes a single statement, and the culprit always lies. Your job is to deduce whose story doesn’t hold up.

How to play Who farted?

The game follows the classic knights-and-knaves liar puzzle structure. Each day presents a new set of characters and statements. The culprit (or culprits, on some days) always lies, while everyone else tells the truth. You test suspects by marking them as innocent or suspicious, then make an accusation. The puzzle is checked by a solver, so there is exactly one correct answer and no guessing is required.

Tips & strategy

  • Test one suspect at a time: assume they are guilty, then check if their statement is false and everyone else’s is true. The first contradiction clears them.
  • Look for statements that accuse others of lying—these often create direct links that narrow down the suspect pool.
  • On Wednesdays, a dog named Biscuit is in the elevator. He never speaks, but sometimes that silence is exactly why he is the culprit.

Frequently asked questions

How often does a new puzzle appear?

A new puzzle opens every day, with difficulty increasing from Monday to Sunday.

Are there any special rules?

Some days feature two culprits, and on 'innocent-liar' days exactly one non-culprit also makes a false statement. The Wednesday dog twist adds a silent suspect.
