TimeLineup
What is TimeLineup?
TimeLineup is a football history puzzle that asks players to place famous moments—transfers, trophies, debuts, records, and iconic matches—in chronological order. Rather than naming stadiums or guessing fees, you rely on your sense of when major football events happened relative to one another. A shared daily lineup lets everyone attempt the same puzzle, and random lineups can be passed on with a link.

A lovely little puzzle for a coffee break — no dates to memorise, just your gut feeling for football history.

The relative-order twist is what sells it — you're ranking moments by logic, not memorising years, and fewer tries means a sharper score.
How to play TimeLineup
You are handed a shuffled set of moments and drag each card up or down to build your best guess at the correct date order. Submit your order to see color-coded feedback: green means a moment is in the right slot, red means it belongs elsewhere. Use the feedback to rearrange the red cards and solve the puzzle within the limited number of attempts.
Tips & strategy
- Anchor the extremes first: place the moment you are most sure is oldest and the one you are most sure is newest, then slot the rest between them.
- Trust the green and move the red: once a card turns green it is in the right slot, so leave it alone and focus your next tries on the red cards.
- Group by era: sort events into rough decades first, then fine-tune the order within each era instead of trying to date every moment precisely.
- You only need relative order, not exact years—if you know one moment came before another, you have enough to start building the timeline.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know exact dates?
No. You only need the relative order of events. The game never asks you to type a year, just to sort moments before or after each other.
How many tries do I get?
Each puzzle gives you a limited number of attempts. Solving it in fewer tries earns a higher score, so the color feedback helps you finish efficiently.
Can my friends play the same lineup?
Yes. The daily lineup is shared by everyone, and random lineups can be passed on with a link so friends attempt the exact same set of moments.
What kinds of moments appear?
The puzzles include famous football moments such as transfers, trophies, debuts, records, and iconic matches.
