How to play Stepwords

Solve the clues to fill each step, with every row one letter longer than the last and sharing letters with its neighbours. The interlocking structure means one answer helps unlock the next.

Tips & strategy

• Start with the shortest steps — they have the fewest possibilities.
• Use shared letters between steps to constrain the longer rows.
• If a long step stalls, solve the rows above and below for crossing letters.
