Spelt
What is Spelt?
Spelt is a daily word puzzle that challenges you to complete a board of five words by filling in missing letters from a limited pool of tiles. Each day brings a new puzzle, with difficulty ramping up from Monday to Saturday.
How to play Spelt
The board shows several words with some letters already placed and others blank. Below the board is a pool of letter tiles. Your goal is to place the tiles into the empty cells so that every row forms a valid word, using every tile exactly once. There is only one solution that uses all the tiles.
Tips & strategy
- Start with rows that have only one or two missing letters to lock in easy words.
- Keep track of which tiles you've used; the pool is limited and every tile must be used.
- Look for common letter combinations and word patterns to guess likely letters.
- If stuck, use the hint feature to reveal a letter, but note that using hints may affect your solve status.
- Try the practice puzzle to get a feel for the mechanics without affecting your streak.
