How to play Shikaku
Draw rectangles so that every numbered cell sits in a region whose area matches that number, and every cell belongs to exactly one rectangle. It's pure deductive partitioning.
Tips & strategy
- Start with numbers that have only one possible rectangle shape.
- Edges and corners constrain rectangles strongly — use them.
- When two regions compete for a cell, one will usually be forced.
