What is ONE RUN?

ONE RUN is a daily roguelike card battler with a strict one-attempt rule. Each day, every player in the world receives the identical run: a fixed pool of cards to draft from and five escalating enemy forms to defeat. You choose five cards before the gauntlet begins, and that deck is locked for all five fights.

How to play ONE RUN

Combat is deterministic — no shuffling or luck. Each turn you have 3 energy, and every card can be played once per turn before refreshing. Cards fall into four types: attacks (red), blocks (blue), heals (green), and utility effects (purple). Enemy intent is shown in advance via a red bar, so you can plan around incoming damage. Stalling has a limit: after six turns on a form, its attack begins climbing each turn. Health carries over between fights, so surviving with more HP yields a higher score.

Tips & strategy

  • Inspect each form before drafting — every form punishes a specific strategy (one caps all hits at 8, another denies energy), so the draft is the core puzzle.
  • Your result grid records each fight: green for untouched, yellow for losing 1–8 health, red for losing 9 or more, and black where the run ended. Clearing all five forms untouched is possible but uncom
  • There are no retries and nothing to purchase. The run resets at midnight, and your history is tracked in an Almanac that grants no gameplay advantage — every gauntlet is identical for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I lose a fight?

The run stops there. Your result grid marks the point where the run ended, and there is no retry — the day's gauntlet is a single attempt.

Can I change my deck mid-run?

No. The five cards you draft are your entire deck for all five fights and cannot be changed later.

Is the daily run the same for everyone?

Yes. Every player alive gets the same cards and the same five forms each day, and the run resets at midnight.
