Octordle cranks the multi-board format to eight Wordle grids solved in parallel, with thirteen guesses for all eight. It now lives on Merriam-Webster.

How to play Octordle

Each guess is applied to all eight boards. With only thirteen tries for eight words, the first several guesses should maximise unique letters rather than target any one board.

Tips & strategy

• Play three or four high-coverage opener words before committing to solve any board.
• Solve the most-constrained boards first to free up guesses.
• Keep a scratch note of which letters are confirmed across boards — eight states is a lot to hold.
