Lawndle
What is Lawndle?
Lawndle is a daily puzzle game about mowing a lawn as efficiently as possible. Each day presents a new grid of grass, ponds, rocks, and other obstacles, and your goal is to cut every grass tile and park the mower in the shed with the fewest steps.
How to play Lawndle
Click or tap any tile in a straight line from the mower to drive there, cutting all grass along the way; each tile traveled costs a step, and turning is free. You can also use arrow keys or WASD to nudge one tile at a time. Avoid shooting clippings into ponds (your right-hand chute sprays two tiles) and avoid pushing balls into fences or ponds, as both incur a +2 step penalty. Finish by parking in the shed.
Tips & strategy
- Plan routes that avoid cutting the same grass twice; yellow tiles in your shared score show where you drove over more than once.
- Use bare earth patches as penalty-free crossings, especially between ponds, since they don't spray clippings.
- Be mindful of your mower's right-hand chute when cutting near water; a single misstep can add a +2 penalty.
- Use the Back button to rewind a move if you spot a mistake before finishing.
- Clicking a far tile saves clicks, not steps—so weigh the convenience against careful tile-by-tile control.
